Massage Therapy
Massage is an ancient therapeutic treatment. Countless civilisations throughout history have recognised the healing power of human touch, especially in Eastern cultures (Ancient Rome, Greece, China and Egypt). Great for.... reducing muscle spasm, pain and tension...releasing endorphins (the body’s own natural painkiller), relaxation and therefore reduction in anxiety, improved blood circulation, lymphatic drainage and mobility, reduction of swelling caused by an accumulation of fluid in the tissues, inducing a feeling of well-being through the comfort of human touch...
Therapeutic Massage is ideal for physical problems such as muscle tension and can be used to relax muscles after exercise or to warm them and loosen them in preparation for exercise. It is also a great mental and emotional stress reliever, reducing tension, anxiety, aches and pains and fatigue. A treatment will leave you feeling relaxed, refreshed and rejuvenated.
Hot Stone Massage. Hot stones have been used in many different cultures for many years. This deep massage technique involves the use of smooth basalt volcanic stones, (known for their heat absorbing properties), which are pre-heated in water, to a safe but effective temperature prior to a treatment. The massage combines traditional massage techniques, with hot basalt stones that gently glide over the body. Stones of varying sizes are used during the treatment, as an extension of the therapist’s hands. At times during the treatment, stones will be placed on or under the body to facilitate deep heat penetration, to relax the muscles and ‘draw out’ tightness and discomfort.
Reflexology is a holistic therapy which works on the principle that there are reflex areas in the feet and hands that correspond to every part of the body, including organs and glands. Stimulating these reflexes can help many health conditions and ailments in a safe and natural way. After illness or injury, reflexology can restore and maintain the body’s natural healing processes, by stimulating circulation, encouraging full absorptions of nutrients and by encouraging effective production of antibodies to fight inflection, therefore giving the body’s immune system a boost.

The heat from the stones improves the relaxation response and increases healing through improved blood flow and circulation.
The treatment is extremely relaxing and by working on the reflex points of the feet, your whole body will feel restored, balanced and revitalised. As with Hot Stone Massage, it is estimated that one stroke with a hot stone is worth fives stokes with the hand.

Ayurveda is the ancient Indian holistic medical system, based on achieving physical and mental harmony with nature. Ayurveda has been practised for more than 5000 years and means “science of life”. The Ayurvedic Natural Face Lift therapy is a good way of keeping wrinkles at bay. The massage relaxes the facial muscles and stimulates micro-circulation and lymph flow, thereby promoting the regeneration of healthy, younger looking skin. It also activates the natural metabolism of the skin tissue and improves muscle tone, thereby improving the skin’s natural capacity to retain moisture. This facial is a deeply relaxing treatment, incorporating the neck, shoulders and scalp. Only Ayurveda Pura products are used during the treatment. All Ayurveda Pura products are 100% natural, SLS and Parabens free and contain no artificial perfume or colour. A course of 6 treatments is recommended, followed by a once monthly facial.
